Melanie graduated from Immaculata University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. She also completed minors in Art History and Theology during her undergraduate career. While at Immaculata, she served as the president of the Alpha Alpha Rho chapter of Phi Alpha Theta for two years. She has volunteered at Winterthur Museum, Garden, and Library in Delaware since 2006. She currently serves as a gallery docent at Winterthur Museum, and she previously completed an internship in the museum’s curatorial department. She has also worked part-time for the New Castle County library system since 2006. In her free time, Melanie enjoys serving as a catechist and choir member at her local parish church.
At Villanova Melanie is pursuing a Master of Arts degree in History in addition to a Certificate in Nonprofit Management. She is focusing her studies on the Public History concentration. Her research interests include Early American history, women’s history, and business history. She is particularly interested in the study of women and work throughout different periods in American history.
