Matthew Albertson

Matt graduated from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2012 where he earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Political Science. While enrolled at Bloomsburg, Matt was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society and Phi Alpha Theta national history honor society and served as that organization's chapter president for two consecutive years. He was active in the History Club, Model United Nations, and Bloomsburg University Husky Ambassadors and presented at several regional and national conferences. In addition to his academic work, he wrote a chapter on North and South Centre Townships which were published in the Columbia County Historical and Genealogical Society's recent county monograph. He is also a member of the American Historical Association and National Council on Public History.

Matt is currently in the Public History track with historical interests in Colonial North America, Revolutionary America, and the Atlantic World. Aside from history, he enjoys watching Philadelphia sports teams - namely the Phillies and Eagles - occasionally win and when they do not, screaming and booing at them profusely. He can be contacted by email.
